Lead Electrical Engineer

The Role:

Our client is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to join a Data Centre engineering team based in Milan. The role focuses on the design, coordination, and technical leadership of electrical and special systems within large-scale, mission-critical and industrial projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering compliant, efficient, and high-quality engineering solutions.  Duties and Responsibilities  Lead the development and delivery of assigned projects from concept through detailed design  Control the issuance and quality of project documentation, ensuring alignment with technical and regulatory requirements  Provide technical leadership and coordination of electrical and special systems design across multiple projects  Coordinate and guide electrical engineering resources, ensuring effective collaboration within project teams  Interface with suppliers and vendors for the selection of technical solutions, equipment sizing, and specifications  Support the integration of electrical systems with other disciplines, including mechanical, fire safety, sustainability, and façade engineering  Professional Requirements  Degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior or lead electrical engineering role  Strong knowledge of BIM methodologies and collaborative design processes  Experience using electrical design, network calculation, and service coverage simulation software  Demonstrated project management experience  Proven ability to lead and coordinate electrical design teams and work across multidisciplinary environments  Good command of written and spoken English  Registration on relevant professional or placement lists is considered an advantage  What Is Offered  Competitive compensation package  Flexible working arrangements, including remote working options  A collaborative and positive work environment focused on teamwork and professional integrity  Structured learning, development, and performance planning, with clear career progression pathways  Opportunity to contribute to high-impact, technically challenging projects with meaningful outcomes
