The Department of Civil Engineering, Construction Management and Environmental Engineering (CECMEE), within the Steve Sanghi College of Engineering is comprised of twenty-one full-time faculty. We provide students with a well-rounded, personalized education in civil engineering, environmental engineering, and construction management, emphasizing the preparation of baccalaureate students for professional practice. The department offers bachelor's and master's degrees in civil engineering, environmental engineering, project management, and construction management.

The Department of Civil Engineering, Construction Management, and Environmental Engineering (CECMEE), in the Steve Sanghi College of Engineering (SCE) invites applications for a Part‑Time Faculty position in the Civil and Environmental Engineering (CENE) Program. We seek candidates who have a passion for teaching along with relevant education and industry experience.

- Teaching undergraduate level courses, delivering exams, supervising students, and grading student work.
- M.S. in civil or environmental engineering, or
- B.S. in civil or environmental engineering and 5+ years of engineering experience
* A combination of related education, experience, and training may be used as an equivalent to the above Minimum Qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications- Demonstrated evidence of teaching effectiveness.
- 5+ years of engineering experience.
- Ph.D. in civil, environmental, or related engineering.
- Registered Professional Engineering (P.E.).
- Advanced knowledge in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and other engineering related areas.
- Effective teaching ability at undergraduate levels.
- Curriculum development.
- Capacity to inspire students.
- Ability to manage undergraduate students.
- Ability to work well independently and in a team.
- Ability to communicate effectively highly technical content to a diverse audience.
Anticipated compensation is $2000 per credit unit or $6000 per three‑credit course, commensurate with candidate's qualifications and related experience.
