Ceto Talent is partnering with a leading EPC contractor delivering large-scale, complex offshore energy projects. This role sits at the heart of health safety engineering for major offshore and carbon capture developments.
As a Health Safety Engineering (HSE) Engineer , you will join a seven-person project team responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of the project safety management system. The position is heavily focused on health safety engineering across the BP NEP / NZT Carbon Capture Project, with further opportunities on future offshore energy work.
This is a hands‑on health safety engineering role, offering exposure to high-value projects and the chance to deepen your technical expertise in HSE and safety engineering within the offshore sector.
What You’ll Be Doing- Delivering health safety engineering support across all phases of the project
- Subcontractor management and evaluation, including ownership of the Supplier Document Register from a health safety engineering perspective
- Developing and maintaining HSE and health safety engineering project deliverables
- Leading project risk management processes as part of the wider health safety engineering function
- Facilitating HSE and health safety engineering readiness reviews
- Managing HSE contract administration with a strong focus on safety engineering requirements
- Ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory and health safety engineering standards
- Planning and conducting internal HSE and health safety engineering audits
- Leading incident investigations and supporting continuous improvement in health safety engineering performance
- Maintaining and coordinating the Country Emergency Response Team from a health safety engineering standpoint
- Degree‑level qualification, ideally aligned with engineering, plus a recognised HSE qualification such as NEBOSH
- Experience working in health safety engineering within an offshore construction environment, ideally for an IMCA‑approved contractor
- Auditor and investigation certification relevant to health safety engineering
- Strong working knowledge of IOGP and IMCA standards applied through health safety engineering frameworks
- Candidates already based in the UK
