Senior Engineer; Civil & Structural

We are now recruiting for the exciting role of Senior Engineer, to be involved in an industry leading, cutting‑edge design project for a new type of power station. Reporting to one of the Team Leaders in the Reactor Island Civil and Structural Team, this role will be responsible for delivering packages of civil and structural analysis and design work including calculations, analysis models, technical reports and general project deliverables.

• The candidate will demonstrate contribution to reducing and managing conventional health and safety risks in the design of the RR SMR Plant.
• The candidate will demonstrate contribution to the development of an integrated design and safety case for the elements of the RR SMR Plant within their scope.
• The candidate will demonstrate contribution to identification, management of, and verification and validation of requirements for the elements of the RR SMR Plant within their scope.
• The candidate will demonstrate contribution to successful delivery of programme milestones and technical governance in accordance with time, cost and quality metrics.
• The candidate will demonstrate successful delivery of packages of design work within their scope in accordance with time, cost and quality metrics.
• The candidate will demonstrate contribution towards the RR SMR organisational objectives as agreed with their line manager.
• The candidate will demonstrate behaviours in accordance with the RR SMR values and behaviours objectives.
• The candidate will demonstrate contribution towards fostering a positive, inclusive and respectful working environment, where team members feel valued, are empowered to make decisions and challenge direction, with physical and mental well being maintained as a key priority.
• Obtaining Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance.
• Satisfactory completion of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
• Satisfactory completion of a basic financial probity check.

• Salary: £48 000 – £62 500 DOE
• Bonus – Performance related target opportunity 12.5%
