As an Associate Fire Engineer, you’ll work on a variety of projects ranging from a university in Scotland to a high‑rise residential tower in London, and many international projects. Your main objectives include:

• Running through design information and liaising with other WSP disciplines (Facades, Acoustics, Structures).
• Presenting designs to local authorities and the Fire Service.
• Informing the design team about safety improvements.
• Preparing and delivering client updates.

In addition to day‑to‑day tasks, you will receive support to achieve professional registration through IFE and other organisations, and you can progress to chartered status through our structured development programme.

The programme includes training in:

• Technical report writing
• Team‑specific technical skills
• Project management (introduction and advanced)
• Influential communications
• Commercial concepts
• Collaborative team challenge
• Continuous improvement

• Degree (BSc, BEng, MSc, MEng) in Fire, Structural, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Extensive experience within the fire engineering consulting industry.
• Ability to work from any of our UK major offices.
