Your RoleA Little More About Your Role…
Do you have a passion for trees? WSP has a large, experienced Ecology and Arboriculture team that works on diverse projects across the UK for private and public sector clients. The team provides integrated support by working alongside in-house specialists to deliver commercially balanced, innovative solutions.
You will be involved in several projects concurrently and be a proactive member of the team. Knowledge of GIS/CAD is not required but is an advantage. Experience with digital data capture devices (e.g., tablets) in the field is preferred. The Arboriculture and Forestry team is spread across the UK, so there is flexibility on location.
- Provide support to the Senior and Consultant Arboriculturists.
- Site-based surveys, assessments, measurements, inspections and monitoring in relation to BS5837:2012 and tree hazard assessments.
- Collation and interpretation of arboricultural information from desk studies.
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports and feasibility studies.
- Data analysis and project management.
- Enthusiasm for arboriculture and willingness to learn.
- Has relevant written, analytical, and application skills.
- Appropriate academic qualification in arboriculture or working towards a suitable qualification.
- The ability to work as part of a team of arboricultural professionals as well as on your own.
- The flexibility to travel and work away from home within the UK regularly.
- An understanding of health and safety in the workplace and a responsibility to always act professionally.
- A desire to develop your core arboriculture and consultancy skills.
