WSP has a large, experienced and friendly Ecology and Arboriculture team who work on a diverse range of projects across the UK. The team prides itself on integrated support offered by working alongside in‑house specialists to deliver commercially balanced, innovative and integrated solutions. You will be expected to be involved with several projects concurrently and be a proactive member of the team.

GIS and CAD knowledge is an advantage but not required. Experience of working with digital data capture devices such as tablets in the field is preferred. The team and its projects are spread across the UK, offering flexibility on location.

• Provide support to the Senior and Consultant Arboriculturists.
• Site based surveys, assessments, measurements, inspections and monitoring in relation to BS5837:2012 and tree hazard assessments.
• Collation and interpretation of arboricultural information from desk studies.
• Assist in the preparation of technical reports and feasibility studies.
• Data analysis and project management.

• Enthusiasm for arboriculture and willingness to learn.
• Relevant written, analytical and application skills.
• Appropriate academic qualification in arboriculture or working towards a suitable qualification.
• Ability to work as part of a team of arboricultural professionals as well as independently.
• Flexibility to travel and work away from home within the UK regularly.
• Understanding of health and safety in the workplace and a responsibility to act professionally.
• Desire to develop core arboriculture and consultancy skills.
