Role:
Senior Manager – Containment Layout & Installations
Locations: Derby, Warrington or Manchester – hybrid working options available
Salary: £68,000 – £89,000 DOE
Reporting to the Chief Design Engineer for Installations, the Senior Manager – Containment Layout & Installations is accountable for designing the physical layout of the Containments and Interspace ensuring the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing installation is integrated with the modular build philosophy.
Responsibilities- Lead a multi-discipline team to deliver layout and installations design for Containment Interspace and Reactor Building.
- Provide design direction and leadership, coordinate and drive a large multi-discipline team to deliver the Containment & Interspace regional layout & installations design, influencing stakeholders (components, fuel handling, mechanical handling to civils and architecture) to deliver an optimised layout.
- Develop layout and installation design in accordance with the gated life cycle design process, taking responsibility for resolving technical challenges and issues.
- Manage resources within the team, drive delivery and best utilise individual strengths.
- Lead, support and develop team members, supporting personal development plans and identifying suitable training.
- Provide guidance and coaching on technical and governance matters.
- Define delivery strategy for Containment & Interspace layout, based on inputs from key stakeholders: civils, architecture, E3S, human factors, systems, components, CAD, operations, build certainty, supply chain.
- Salary: £68,000 – £89,000 DOE
- Bonus:
