Water Utility Company based in Yorkshire region of England.

Yorkshire Region (Bradford, Leeds, Sheffield, York, Hull). Remote working with regular travel to Yorkshire Water sites and offices, typically 2-3 days a week.

Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer ICA to join the Engineering Team at Yorkshire Water and be part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers.

• Design, develop, deploy and test business critical ICA services in areas such as instrumentation, PLC & HMI/LOI systems, SCADA systems, and site data networks.
• Take a technical and financial lead role on projects, responsible for delivery of best value and ensuring technical outcomes align with business requirements.
• Ensure projects are developed and delivered to appropriate quality, standards and specifications.
• Ensure projects comply with statutory legislation including Health and Safety and Construction Design and management (CDM) requirements, acting as Principal Contractor.
• Ensure all projects follow a formal customer handover process against the agreed scope.
• Ensure the creation and modification of assets results in safe, compliant, reliable, affordable assets aligned with operational risk.
• Provide technical input into developing short and long‑term strategic plans.

• Engineering degree or equivalent ICA apprenticeship & ONC/HNC/BTEC in Electrical or ICA Engineering.
• Broad experience with electrical and ICA equipment; ability to produce engineered solutions to resolve business risks.
• Qualifications and experience to facilitate YW Electrical Authorisation (LV).
• Experience in the use and challenge of PLC, HMI, SCADA, telemetry and instruments commonly found on YW sites.
• Ability to diagnose issues with PLC, HMI, SCADA, instrumentation and understand change control.
• Knowledge of construction design management (CDM) principles.
• Current valid driving licence and flexibility to travel across the Yorkshire region.

• Ability to manage and prioritise workload while maintaining effective operational relationships.
• Ability to work effectively with equipment manufacturers to identify shortfalls and propose enhancements.
• Understanding of risk issues on site as well as construction risks.
• Investigation, report writing and communication skills.

• Competitive salary, £46,072 – £57,590.
