Coffman Engineers is seeking a highly skilled, self‑motivated Civil Engineer with 5‑10 years of experience. The role provides comprehensive civil engineering services from initial feasibility through design, permitting, and construction support for our Bay Area office. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, collaborative, and willing to grow with a multidisciplinary team.

This position is hybrid—staff are in‑person at least three days a week with optional remote work on the remaining days. This position is not eligible for sponsorship.

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Current registration as an EIT, required.
• Registration as a Civil Professional Engineer (P.E.), preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in civil design, permitting and construction administration across site development sectors.
• Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic calculations; technical studies; public improvement, grading, drainage, stormwater management, and utility plans.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience in a multi‑discipline setting preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Team player who thinks critically and solves problems.
• Motivation to learn new technologies and practices.
• Excellent time management skills.

• Approximate base salary $87k‑$125k, based on experience.
• Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate.
• Competitive end‑of‑year discretionary bonus.
