Construction Technical Services Professional – (Data Centers)
We are seeking a Construction Technical Services Professional to support our Advanced Manufacturing team and our data center projects. In this role you’ll own your career while helping shape the success of project quality plans.
Base pay range$/yr - $/yr
Responsibilities- Engage in resolving in-progress issues, discrepancies, or disputes related to technical interpretation of drawings and specifications; clarifying and, when required, expediting home office/responsible engineer(s) response to meet project needs in a timely manner.
- Liaise with home office engineering, outside engineering firms, and client representatives.
- Provide on‑site technical support in interpretation of engineering released documents, specifications, and drawings, including input to the change management process within your technical expertise.
- Engage in the permitting process with authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs).
- Work with design‑build contractors once their efforts move to the field.
- Effectively communicate with subcontractors to receive and manage all key drawings and documents in a revision‑controlled manner.
- Ensure revision control is in place for all construction documents and that contractors have the latest revisions.
- Manage, control, and communicate all timely information related to potential changes in design and installation.
- Work within the field sketch/redline process associated with changes.
- Collaborate with project controls and construction regarding the field design revision process.
- Act as a technically competent lead in response to contractor or other party requests for specification deviation in work or work product, working within the project approved spec deviation process.
- Resolve nonconformities (NCRs) in collaboration with field quality, contractor, and home office engineering.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to subordinate team members toward meeting objectives.
- Minimum 10 years of experience working in the engineering and construction of heavy‑industrial process facilities.
- A basic understanding of construction‑oriented means, methods, codes, and standards.
- Experience interpreting home office engineering documents for construction purposes.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience, including certified technical training.
- Effective oral and written communication.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Some field experience supporting construction.
- Experience in heavy industrial process facilities, including life sciences, advanced manufacturing, or data center projects.
