Mechanical Designer for Studies (Minerals and Metals) – Burlington

• Generate conceptual overall site and process plant layouts, working with engineering disciplines such as civil, mechanical and process.
• Prepare mechanical layout and detail drawings in line with project requirements.
• Deliver design drafting according to required project time frames and standards by coordinating and supervising project members and reviewing deliverables.
• Liaise with engineers for direction, specifications, and feedback.
• Maintain consistent design drafting standards across projects by communicating expectations and holding project members to account for standards.
• Comply with all of Ausenco corporate policies and procedures by adopting Ausenco Quality Assurance and Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment policies, procedures and requirements.

• 5‑8 years of relevant experience in site plans, mechanical layout and design drafting of Mineral Processing Plants, specifically gold and copper plants.
• Experience in layout design of crushing, materials handling, grinding, flotation, CIL/CIP, slurry pumping, slurry agitation, particle size classification, separation and filtration would be highly regarded.
• Experience in materials handling preferred (conveyors, chutes, reclaim, crushing).
• Experience producing high‑level 3D models with Auto Desk.
• Advanced diploma or equivalent in engineering technology or drafting.
• Experience in the development of layouts for studies.
• Knowledge of the mining and mineral‑processing industry.
• Proven ability to manage, motivate and influence employees at all levels.
• Well‑developed written and oral skills.
• Willingness to travel when required.
