Project Overview

The rapid growth of AI and digitalization is fueling unprecedented demand for data centers that require large, reliable sources of energy. In response to this market trend, the Renewables & Clean Power (R&CP) team have signed an early works contract to build one of the largest gas fired power generation facilities in the U.S. This project is of significant scale and complexity, and our team is helping the customer progress early‑stage development, that would lead to the start of full EPC delivery next year.

The candidate may start in the home office in Reston, Houston or Pecos, Texas, as single status, to support preconstruction planning, ahead of project mobilization to the field when the candidate will locate on a long‑term assignment to Pecos, Texas. This position is contingent upon project award.

In this role, you will work with the project team to prepare schedule data for proposals or contract negotiations. You will apply established unit job hour and pricing data, perform schedule integrations, prepare work logic, identify restraints and potential impacts, develop recovery plans, and evaluate subcontractor schedules for improvements. You will be instrumental in ensuring projects stay on track and on time.

• Prepares schedule data for proposals or contract negotiations
• Applies established unit job hour and pricing data for a specific discipline or other specialty including estimating parameters, factors, indices, productivity, and craft distribution reference data
• Performs integration of individual schedules into the total project plan
• Prepares performing organization's work logic in support of overall project schedule
• Performs schedule resource loading and leveling
• Maintains open communications with other organizations to support schedule maintenance and reporting
• Identifies schedule restraints
• Identifies and reports activities that have a critical or potential impact on the schedule
• Develops schedule recovery plans
• Evaluates subcontractor schedules for required workarounds or potential schedule improvements

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience

• Demonstrated experience performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control, and analysis, both in the field and at the home office.
• Possesses an intermediate understanding of conducting Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis.
• Has an intermediate familiarity with engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup processes as executed by Bechtel.
• Experienced in the execution, monitoring, and evaluation of planning and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control, and variance analysis across both field and office environments. Proficient in oral and written communication, with strong leadership and organizational abilities.
• Highly skilled in preparing detailed and sophisticated progress reports. Possesses project management knowledge acquired through focused training and practical experience. Advanced proficiency with MS Office, Power-BI, Primavera P6, and MS Project.
