RequirementsOverview
As a Senior Accident Reconstructionist, you will lead complex investigations, mentor junior staff, and serve as a trusted expert witness in depositions and jury trials. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, manage diverse projects, and help shape the future of forensic engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage advanced accident investigations (vehicular, workplace, fatal injuries, officer-involved incidents).
- Collect, analyze, and preserve evidence using cutting-edge tools (3D laser scanning, EDR imaging, simulation software).
- Prepare and present authoritative reports and exhibits for litigation.
- Testify as an expert witness in depositions and trials.
- Mentor and train junior engineers and technicians.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Stay current with industry standards and participate in professional development.
Qualifications
- 10+ years’ experience in accident reconstruction (law enforcement or engineering).
- ACTAR accreditation required or willingness to obtain.
- Proven expert witness experience in depositions and jury trials.
- Advanced technical writing and presentation skills.
- Resident of Denver or surrounding area.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to balance multiple projects.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Salary: $110,000–$150,000, commensurate with experience and certifications.
- Full-time, hybrid/remote work options.
- Field work/project site visits: up to 40% of time.
