Project Engineer - Water Resources

Job Overview

Olsson is a purpose‑driven engineering and design firm dedicated to improving communities. Our Water Resources team delivers full‑spectrum water services from planning and design to permitting and construction.

• Lead complex project design, cost estimation, and engineering calculations.
• Prepare project documents, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
• Develop new techniques, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and mentor junior staff.
• Report progress to project managers and identify challenges.
• Maintain project information in the firm’s project management system and participate in client meetings.
• Travel to project sites as needed.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering.
• Minimum six years of experience in water resources, stormwater, or related disciplines.
• Proficiency in hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, master planning, stream restoration, or stormwater design (plus).
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to represent Olsson professionally at all times.
