We are seeking a Civil Engineer with experience in structural engineering who has knowledge of building envelope design to join our team! As a Civil Engineer, you will be solving construction defects and failures. This includes diagnostic site inspections, construction document reviews, and development of repair recommendations. Our clients include property owners, property managers, construction professionals, property insurers, and construction defect litigators.
The majority of our projects are located in the southeastern United States. Our primary office is located in Charleston, South Carolina with a sister office in Columbia, South Carolina. The ideal candidate lives in South Carolina, has excellent attention to detail, and is familiar with building codes and typical construction methods and materials.
- Perform site inspection surveys and diagnostic testing
- Research building codes, industry standards, and product literature
- Develop technical reports and repair plans
- Assist Forensic Engineers with expert witness testimony preparation
- Mentor Engineering Technicians and Staff Engineers
- Bachelors Degree or higher in Civil Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer preferred
- 2+ years of Structural Engineering experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with building codes and construction materials
