Engineering Manager- Ceph & Distributed Storage

We are hiring an Engineering Manager to lead a globally distributed team that builds a Ceph‑focused software‑defined storage solution. You will nurture engineers, drive technical excellence, and influence culture, while ensuring sound architecture and modern development practices.

• Lead a team building a Ceph focused software‑defined storage solution.
• Build and manage a globally distributed team of engineers.
• Develop your team through coaching, mentoring and feedback.
• Contribute directly to engineering objectives and demonstrate sound principles.
• Set realistic schedules with iterative feedback loops.
• Manage expectations with other engineering teams and external stakeholders.
• Advance modern agile software development practices.
• Maintain a culture of quality and engineering excellence.
• Grow a healthy, collaborative engineering culture aligned with company values.
• Act as part of the leadership team and collaborate across the organization.
• Work from home with up to 20 % global travel.

• Software engineering background, preferably with Python and C++.
• Experience operating large‑scale storage clusters on Linux, preferably with Ceph.
• Loves embracing new technologies and pushing boundaries.
• Has a track record of developing and growing people in technical teams.
• Passionate about building products that improve how people operate software and infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of software development best practices.
• Experience leading, managing, coaching and mentoring developers in an agile environment.
