Manufacturing Engineer IILocation:
Dixon, IL. This role participates in and contributes to process and product modifications, standards, and improvements. The Engineer II position utilizes knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes to develop expertise in increasing product quality, output, and cost effectiveness. You will use lean tools and thinking to improve value streams, conduct workflow analysis, and lead process improvement and change within the organization.
Qualified candidates must work an on‑site schedule at our Dixon, IL facility.
- Support appraisal of new product ideas to address customer needs and achieve revenue growth and market share.
- Design, analyze, test, and integrate components to produce final designs; evaluate the design’s overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety.
- Develop, execute, and evaluate fitness‑for‑use testing, product specifications, and process validation plans.
- Work in cross‑functional teams, responsible for all phases of assigned standard engineering projects, ensuring successful completion within appropriate time and cost.
- Prepare or secure and review cost estimates, complete required cost and equipment information, and write appropriation requests.
- Provide input on technical program objectives and product specifications to meet manufacturing needs. Stay informed of new or improved designs, methods, and techniques, materials, and other advances in engineering technology.
- Provide technical support and collaboration to manufacturing, production, and clients through customer visits and/or consultations; ensure product design meets manufacturing and procurement requirements.
- Participate in short‑range planning and technical forecasting; prepare and present technical results and information in a clear, concise manner through drawings, specifications, reports, and oral presentations.
- Ensure compliance with government and organization engineering standards.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Three or more years of hands‑on experience in industrial manufacturing or engineering.
- FAA certification experience.
- Experience with Oracle or other ERP systems.
Annual Salary Range: $71,900 - $91,700. Actual salaries vary based on experience, education, and performance.
