AECOM is seeking a Safety, Health & Environment Manager to be based in New York, NY
. The Senior Safety Program Manager will oversee the Safety personnel for the Design Builder and CM, and will develop SOPs, review safety plans, develop processes and procedures, and visit sites.

• Partner in the development and administration of the company’s safety, accident prevention, and environmental policies and programs for the home office and field operations.
• Establish a thorough knowledge of the company and its organizational structure and philosophy, as well as the manufacturing, engineering and construction industries.
• Collaborate with department heads, subsidiaries and field operations to resolve safety and environmental issues; advise executive and middle management on professionally related issues; and lead people with effective leadership and communication skills.
• Assist in the supervision of all Department safety, accident prevention, and environmental activities and in the selection and supervision of project safety, environmental and medical personnel.
• Plan and conduct training for project safety, environmental and medical personnel in policy, procedures, inspection, documentation, training and accident investigation.
• Represent the Company on technical and professional committees and assist in local, State, Federal and industrial code formulation.
• Under the direction of the Sr. Director, supervise ES&H staff.
• Develop and implement comprehensive risk assessment strategies to identify and mitigate potential safety and environmental hazards across all company operations.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and develop corrective action plans to prevent recurrence of safety or environmental incidents.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable safety and environmental regulations, standards, and best practices, staying current with changes in legislation and industry standards.
• Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to integrate safety and environmental considerations into project planning and execution phases.
• Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for safety and environmental performance, providing regular reports to senior management.
• Foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility through ongoing communication, recognition programs, and employee engagement initiatives.

Minimum Requirements
:

• BA/BS plus 12 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 4 years of leadership

Preferred Requirements
:

• A bachelor’s degree in the field of Safety or Engineering
• OSHA 10-hour Construction Health and Safety Course (30-hour preferable)
