Water Resources Engineer

Overview

Water Resources Engineer position at Herbert, Rowland & Grubic, Inc.

- HRG in Cranberry Township, PA with work-from-home flexibility.

• H&H Modeling using PCSWMM, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS
• Designing stream bank/buffer restoration projects
• Bridge/Culvert modeling and floodplain delineation
• Providing robust MS4 consulting services to municipal clients
• Developing and implementing MS4 Pollution Reduction Plans
• Designing stormwater management and erosion and sediment control BMPs
• Flood mitigation and storm sewer designs
• Assistance with developing and implementing municipal stormwater authorities and fees
• Designing Green Infrastructure (GI)
• Preparing project designs and reports (SWM, NPDES, E&S, etc.)
• Preparing PADEP Joint and General Permit Applications
• Working with PADEP, ACOE and County Conservation Districts
• Successful delivery of water resources related projects with oversight of scope, schedule, budget, quality, and design team

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
• Engineer-In-Training (required), Professional Engineer (preferred)
• 3+ years of experience in water resources engineering to include:
  • Stormwater design
  • Hydrologic/Hydraulic modeling
  • Stream bank restoration design
  • Regulatory permitting
  • Project presentations
  • Specification writing
  • Meeting facilitation
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and project management systems such as Deltek Vantagepoint, PCSWMM, Hydro
  
  CAD, Hydraflow, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and Civil3D (preferred)
• Client-focused leader and team player with strong communication, planning and organizational skills
• Flexibility to travel to job sites, meetings, and other offices as necessary, including overnight stays
• Valid US Driver’s License
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
