We currently have an opening for a Construction Technician - Civil Engineering, servicing our projects out of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA) and Greater Niagara Area. This is a permanent full-time position. You will join the dynamic Water Division, who are active on multi-discipline design and construction projects for a variety of public and private sector clients. This position will provide you with opportunities for advancement and career growth.

Working with a dynamic, talented team in a collaborative work environment, you will collaborate with Teams in our Ontario offices. You will be responsible for providing on-site representation and construction services for multi-discipline construction projects in the water and wastewater sector.

• Overseeing the construction of various engineering projects.
• Prepare construction specifications, cost and material estimates, project schedules and reports.
• Engaging in daily contract administration duties as well as site inspection duties to monitor Contractor progress, workmanship, and conformance with the contract documents.
• Assist in developing engineering specifications and drawings.
• Assist in the bidding process of projects.
• Communicating regularly via progress reports with the Associated Engineering, Client and Contractor project teams
• Serving as Associated Engineering’s Representative in communicating with the public and other stakeholders through the duration of the construction contract
• Engaging in a collaborative work environment with your team, as well as other disciplines and offices.
• Complying with and working within COR certified environment and performing all duties in accordance with those specified under the Ontario Occupational Health & Safety Act and applicable legislation.
