We are looking for a cybersecurity embedded systems engineer with expertise in securing railway embedded systems. Your focus will be on penetration testing, threat modeling, and security-by-design for onboard train systems, signaling devices, and other safety‑critical hardware.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct security assessments (pen testing, vulnerability analysis) on embedded railway systems (e.g., onboard controllers, signaling firmware).
• Define and implement security guidelines compliant with railway standards (e.g., EN 50159, IEC 62443, CENELEC).
• Perform firmware/hardware reverse engineering (e.g., via JTAG, UART, or chip‑off) to identify attack surfaces.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to harden systems against threats (e.g., supply chain attacks, wireless exploits).
• Support certification processes (e.g., Common Criteria, ISO/TS 22163) for safety‑critical components.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in embedded cybersecurity, preferably in railway, automotive, or industrial systems.
• Hands‑on experience with:
  • Pentesting embedded devices (tools: Ghidra, IDA Pro, CANalyzer, Chip Whisperer).
  • Secure coding (C/C++, Rust, MISRA) and hardware security (HSM, TPM, secure boot).
  • Railway protocols (e.g., ETCS, TCN, MVB) or related (CAN, Ethernet/IP).
  • Knowledge of functional safety (IEC 61508, EN 5012x) and cybersecurity standards (ISO 21434).
• Fluency in English;
  German or French is a plus.
