Supplier Quality Engineer will ensure the quality and reliability of our vendors (GPU/CPU, Thermal & Cooling system, Network). This role requires deep understanding of compute manufacturing processes and quality management systems. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem‑solver with strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of driving continuous improvement with key vendors.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with suppliers to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key vendors.
- Develop and maintain supplier performance metrics, including defect rates and delivery timelines.
- Manage and resolve supplier quality issues, including non‑conformances and deviations.
- Drive root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure components meet design specifications.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier quality and reliability.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve product quality and reduce costs.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve product issues early in the development and manufacturing lifecycle.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a robust QMS aligned with industry regulations and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of the data center industry and compute manufacturing operations.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of hardware manufacturing processes and quality assurance methodologies.
- Familiarity with ISO standards, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices.
- Effective communication and cross‑functional teamwork skills.
- Experience in vendor management and supply chain quality control.
- Experience with scripting languages or automation tools.
- Knowledge of SPC, FMEA, and root cause analysis techniques.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, QMS software and ERP systems (Netsuite preferred).
- Travel 25‑50%.
- Certifications such as Six Sigma or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
- Experience in the High‑Performance Compute sector.
- Experience with lean principles.
Base salary range: $157,000 to $210,000. Compensation is based on knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. Total rewards include a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program.
