Our Building Enclosure Team works primarily in Colorado and adjacent states, but has clients across the country. Our projects are in the commercial and multifamily residential space. We are hiring a self‑motivated building performance field technician with excellent technical, written & verbal communication skills. We are looking for an individual with a strong commitment to energy efficiency, sustainability, and a responsible work ethic.
YourExpertise
- 3 – 6 years of experience with commercial or residential new construction, preferably with experience in blower door testing (whole building or unit/home level), duct leakage testing, air/water/thermal barrier inspections, IECC performance verification through site observation and drawing review, water testing of building enclosure systems (ie: ASTM E1105 and AAMA 501.2), and Thermographic Inspection (Infrared imaging) of building enclosure systems.
- Ability to travel outside the Denver metro area up to 80% of the time, with overnight travel to conduct work up to 10% of the time.
- Competency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite products.
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Strong practical background with commercial and residential building construction techniques.
- Able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks with excellent organization and time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Ability to navigate building codes, particularly the IECC.
- Familiarity with amendments to codes by nearby jurisdictions, such as Boulder and Fort Collins.
- Experience with Building Enclosure Consulting and Commissioning (BECx), especially LEED enhanced commissioning requirements.
