Join BBA Consultants in this exciting role where you will contribute to major HVDC and FACTS projects, from early-stage studies to implementation, and help shape tomorrow’s power systems. You will work closely with industry leaders, mentor the next generation of engineers, and represent BBA in technical committees.

• Perform detailed HVDC and FACTS studies and apply them to complex power systems.
• Work with clients, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Guide, mentor, and train junior engineers in HVDC/FACTS technologies.
• Represent BBA in technical committees and industry working groups.
• Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development activities.
• Prepare and review reports, specifications, proposals, and estimates.

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D. in electrical engineering.
• P.Eng. designation or eligibility for registration.
• At least 10 years of industry experience, including 5+ years in HVDC/FACTS.
• Expertise in HVDC/FACTS studies and related codes and standards.
• Expert PSCAD user.
• Proficient in PSSE.
• Strong communication and critical‑thinking skills.
• Ability to travel within Canada, the USA, and internationally for short‑term assignments.
• Project management knowledge (scoping, planning, estimating).
• Familiarity with electrical protection and control systems.
• Knowledge of IEEE, NEC or IEC standards.
• Knowledgeable in real‑time simulation.
