What your day will look like
As a Project Manager, you’ll lead the planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects from initiation through completion. You’ll manage multidisciplinary teams, maintain strong client relationships, and ensure that all project objectives—technical, financial, and operational—are met with precision and professionalism. This role combines engineering expertise, leadership, and strategic coordination to drive successful project outcomes.
What you’ll do- Manage all phases of water and wastewater projects, including scope, schedule, budget, staffing, and client communication.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams in preparing design plans, studies, and reports that meet quality and regulatory standards.
- Serve as the primary client contact, ensuring clear communication, satisfaction, and long‑term relationship development.
- Oversee design reviews, quality control, and risk management to maintain consistency and technical excellence.
- Coordinate with subconsultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project objectives and compliance requirements are achieved.
- Mentor engineers, scientists, and planners to support professional growth and strengthen team performance.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, or a related engineering discipline.
- 12+ years of water and wastewater engineering experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Basic proficiency in AutoCAD & Civil 3D software is a plus but not required.
- Recognized as a successful seller/doer with a sustained ability to win work and maintain annual sales above $500K.
- This hybrid job operates between an office environment and a field environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones and copy machines. May require occasional exposure to work environments that may include inclement weather, heat, humidity, noise, hazard, atmospheric conditions, and bodies of water, depending on project requirements.
- Physical demands: frequent sitting, moving, standing, talking, hearing, and occasional balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and feeling. This job may occasionally require operating a company vehicle and lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 35 lbs.
$150‑170+ based on applicable experience.
