• Interpret client specification requirements for design development
• Design pipework including heating, cooling, hot and cold water systems
• Design ventilation systems
• Select plant and equipment items based on designs, including Air Handling Units, Fans, Pumps, Pressurisation Units, Boilers, Heat emitters, Chillers, Ductwork and ancillary ductwork, Pipework and ancillary pipework

• Experience of mechanical design in the rail environment
• Qualifications meeting the requirements for Chartered status with a UK Engineering Institution
• Working knowledge of:
  • Design of above ground plumbing and waste systems
  • Design of rainwater disposal systems
  • Design of drainage systems
  • Network Rail and/or London Underground standards
  • Controls/BMS for mechanical systems
