Senior Civil Cost Estimator (Full-Time, Remote)
Location: Houston, TX – Remote (Applicants must reside within 50 miles of Harris County)

We are seeking a Senior Civil Cost Estimator with at least 20 years of experience in civil and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) estimation. This is a senior-level, full-time remote position supporting our projects in the Houston region. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of estimating methodologies, cost analysis, and the ability to manage large-scale infrastructure and general contracting projects.
Requirements- Lead and prepare comprehensive cost estimates for civil, aviation, transportation, and capital improvement projects.
- Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to determine labor, materials, and equipment requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure accurate and timely cost forecasting.
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids, preparing cost comparisons and recommendations for award.
- Develop and maintain historical cost databases and estimating templates.
- Prepare cost reports, cash flow projections, and value engineering assessments.
- Identify cost risks and propose mitigation strategies and contingency allowances.
- Support contract negotiations and review change orders for cost impact.
- Stay current with market trends, construction costs, and regional pricing standards.

Primavera P6 ,
capital improvement ,
aviation , and general contracting projects is a strong plus but not required.

Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 20 years of professional experience in civil construction cost estimating.
- Advanced knowledge of cost estimation principles, construction processes, and market conditions.
- Proficiency in estimating software and MS Excel.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- U.S. Citizenship required, with the ability to pass background and client security clearances.
Certifications (Preferred)
- PMP (strongly preferred)
- PE (strongly preferred)
- CCP, CMAA, PSA, RA, or equivalent certifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management , Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Schedule
- Full-time, remote position based in the Houston area.
- Must reside within 50 miles of Harris County, TX .
- Occasional travel may be required for client or project meetings.
