Recruitment Consultant for Zurich North America

Zurich is currently looking for a Senior Risk Engineering Consultant with extensive experience in power plant operations to join the Global Energy – Power Generation team. This is a work‑from‑home role ideally within Western U.S., but other U.S. locations are considered. The role includes expected travel up to 50% across the U.S.

• Advanced risk assessment of plant machinery, fire protection equipment, and business interruption within the power generation industry.
• Provide consultative services to customers, identifying exposures with significant loss potential, investigating major losses, and managing risk programs.
• Provide power generation training for Risk Engineering and underwriting staff, service design and coordination, mentoring, marketing, and loss investigations.
• Manage account risk portfolio and provide account‑level engineering to meet underwriting requirements.
• Market Zurich products with underwriting professionals and agents across company business segments.
• Develop and implement customer service strategies that reduce loss and improve operations.

Final candidates will be subject to a motor‑vehicle record background check. The position may include a company car depending on location and mileage requirements.

• Bachelor’s Degree and 6+ years of experience in the Power Generation Risk Engineering area, OR
• High School Diploma or equivalent and 8+ years of experience in the Power Generation Risk Engineering area, OR
• Zurich Certified Apprentice, including an Associate’s degree and 6+ years of experience, AND
• Experience working in a team environment.

• 10+ years of experience in Risk Engineering or power‑generation plant operations, maintaining machinery.
• Military experience in propulsion plants and power‑generation equipment.
• Related energy industry experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Advanced knowledge of exposure controls and industry segment.
• Certification in specialty area;
  Risk Engineering Power Generation Machinery Breakdown assessments.

The proposed salary range for this position is $98,300.00 – $, with short‑term incentive bonus eligibility set at 15%.
