Summary: Responsible for the coordination and technical leadership of electronic hardware strategies and the electrical design and development of customer products.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and execute electronic hardware design strategies that meet customer and manufacturing requirements.
- Perform and lead DFX reviews
, create documentation, and promote DFX principles. - Provide technical leadership to Mechanical, PCB, Functional Test, and In-Circuit Test teams.
- Drive hardware design strategy discussions with internal and customer teams.
- Lead and contribute to R&D efforts
, including new technologies, tools, and design methods. - Identify and implement advanced technologies such as FPGA
, RF design
, power supply design
, and single-board computer systems
. - Manage multiple concurrent projects, mentor engineers, and support process deployment.
- Collaborate with suppliers and customers to resolve technical challenges and ensure product quality.
- Document and present continuous improvement initiatives
. - Utilize schematic capture tools (e.g.,
Cadence Or Cad ,
Mentor Graphics
, DX Designer
) and simulation software. - Support proposal development, cost estimation, and project planning.
- Ensure quality standards are met and contribute to customer satisfaction.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (4-year technical degree preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing and hardware/software development.
- 1+ years in a leadership role.
- Advanced understanding of electronic components, circuits, systems, and mechanism design.
- Proficient in schematic capture, PCB layout, and simulation tools.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills using sound engineering principles.
- Effective communication and presentation skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently or in teams, with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with advanced technologies and software programming techniques.
- Available for 10–20% travel
, including international trips.
- Experience with lab equipment and troubleshooting techniques.
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to work with diverse teams.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement tools and methodologies.
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to mentor others.
- Demonstrated discretion, professionalism, and independent judgment.
