Lead AWS Systems Architect (Remote)

Our client is searching for a Lead AWS Systems Architect for a remote contract position.

All candidates must have experience in a lead role that has focused on AWS Microservices (specifically AWS Lambda and Step Functions), Node.js (backend), Automated Testing, and coaching best practices.

• Partner directly with the engineering team to implement best practices and build sustainable development habits.
• Conduct PR reviews to ensure code quality, prevent regressions, and reinforce testing discipline.
• Mentor the team on testing strategies and help level up their skill set in quality assurance.
• Identify architectural and design improvements that support scalability and maintainability.
• Perform hands‑on architecture, while leading team efforts and design reviews.

This is a contract position; the role is fully remote.

The pay range for this position is $70.00 – $90.00 per hour.
