Project Lead Electrical Engineer
Summary of responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Manager of the Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering Department, the Project Lead Electrical Engineer will be part of the team dedicated to the electrical, instrumentation and control design and development for local and international mining projects. More specifically, he will be called upon to:
- Coordinate a team of electrical and instrumentation engineers and designers across multiple projects.
- Plan resources and monitor project progress, ensuring alignment with schedules and budgets.
- Collaborate with clients to define project requirements and scope of work.
- Prepare and validate budget forecasts, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Oversee electrical work on construction sites, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Coordinate cost estimations, schedules, and design specifications, ensuring project goals are met.
- Prepare detailed engineering documentation, including diagrams, reports, and specifications for voltage networks.
- Design and specify electrical systems for power generation, transmission, and utilization.
- Supervise the installation, testing, and operation of electrical systems and equipment.
- Manage supply contracts and develop maintenance and operational guidelines for electrical systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- Minimum ten (10) years of relevant experience.
- Experience in mining and/or international projects is an important asset.
- Knowledge of electrical studies such as short-circuiting, protection and arcing is an important asset.
- Member in good standing of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (O.I.Q.) or of another Canadian province, or eligible to be.
- Ability to communicate in French and/or English.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and AutoCAD.

Additional information
- The position will be based at the G Mining Services office in Brossard and/or remotely.
- Possibility of working in hybrid mode (office and remote work).
- Possibility of travelling abroad and in Canada depending on the availability of the candidate.
