Senior Mechanical HVAC Designer

Overview

Senior Mechanical HVAC Designer role s role supports our Advanced Manufacturing Group in delivering cost-effective and transformative projects for heavy industrial clients. The position is available at any location in the United States. Ideally, selected candidates will be near a Jacobs U.S. based office, but we intend to hire the best candidates.

• Layout and design of HVAC systems
• Development of conceptual design and preliminary design documents, including calculations for sizing and selecting systems, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), P&IDs, and general arrangements
• Development of final construction documents for these systems (e.g., chilled water, cooling water)
• Coordination with other disciplines

• At least ten (10) years’ experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities
• Proficiency in Revit
• Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to the design of HVAC systems
• Adaptability to work within a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines
• Ability to collaborate with the project team remotely

• AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D
• Experience in the design of plumbing/utility systems

Base pay range: $/yr - $/yr. Jacobs provides health and welfare benefits including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, a 401(k) plan, and stock purchase option. Eligible employees may enroll in a deferred compensation plan. Jacobs offers a hybrid working policy where applicable.
