Senior Development Manager – Onshore Wind, Solar, Battery Storage

Salary & Package – up to £80,000 DOE + annual bonus, car allowance, healthcare. Remote working.

Piper Maddox are partnering with a leader in the UK renewable energy industry to hire a key addition to their project development function in 2026. This company is an IPP with a demonstrable track record in successful development, construction, and operation of utility Solar and Battery Storage assets. They have strong results from Gate‑2 notifications and are backed by very stable funders.

Looking ahead, our client plans to add Onshore Wind projects to their portfolio alongside continuing to work on their Solar and BESS projects.

• Provide due diligence and guidance for the acquisitions of operational onshore wind assets, using your extensive onshore wind experience.

• Be involved in key late‑stage development processes for Solar and BESS projects, including discharge of planning conditions, supporting handover into delivery and construction, and entering the project into its land lease.

• Onshore wind project experience at various scales.
• Exposure to M&A transactions and key considerations in this process.
• Minimum of 5 years of UK renewable energy development experience.
