Southwest Local School District is searching for a Long-Term Substitute for Online Health and Alternate School Assignments at William Henry Harrison High School, educator licensure is preferred. This position is needed from March 16, 2026 - April/May.

Salary

Schedule:

• Days 1-10 - $105 per day
• Days 11-20 - $125 per day
• Days 21-59 - $150 per day
• Day 60+ - Teacher salary contract for the remainder time served

Teacher hired will be paid for the first 59 days through HCESC's Aesop Substitute Teaching System. Candidate must also apply through www.

• Supervise and support students in grades 9-12 as they complete assigned online health coursework.
• Assist students with navigating the online learning platform, staying on task, and completing required assignments.
• Monitor student participation and progress, providing encouragement and basic support to help students remain engaged.
• Supervise students assigned to alternate school programming and ensure completion of assigned coursework and activities.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and respectful classroom environment that promotes positive behavior and student accountability.
• Follow established lesson plans, online program expectations, and building procedures while supervising students.
• Communicate with building administration and staff regarding student progress, behavior concerns, or questions related to coursework.
• Support students in developing responsible work habits, time management skills, and accountability for completing assignments.
• Utilize available technology and online tools to assist students and monitor coursework completion.

• Certification/License - Educator licensure is preferred;
  Substitute licensure will be considered.
• Passing Background and Fingerprint examination.

Additional Duties:
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.
