Online Teaching, Tutoring
You have mastered difficult problems. Now apply that expertise where it counts: equipping gifted students to compete, qualify, and succeed.
GT School serves families seeking more than strong report cards. We prepare gifted learners through genuine challenges: national and international competitions, public performance records, and accomplishments students carry into their futures.
This position exists because our mathematics program succeeds only when students emerge from sessions more capable, more confident, and prepared for competitive conditions.
This is not a standard tutoring position. You will lead live virtual workshops designed to challenge high-performing students, provide focused contest preparation for competitions such as AMC and AIME, and develop reusable instructional materials that elevate standards across GT Anywhere and GT campuses.
If you excel at converting raw ability into documented results and can present complex concepts with precision, this role will suit you well.
If you possess a verifiable track record of mathematical excellence and wish to shape the next generation of champions, we invite your application.
What You Will Be Doing- Develop and conduct 2–4 live virtual domain workshops weekly that cultivate competition-level mathematical reasoning
- Provide 1:1 or small-group coaching for specific contests through mock examinations, timed practice, and thorough analysis
- Identify weaknesses quickly and construct individualized development plans aligned with each student's objectives and competition schedule
- Monitor student advancement using a structured math progression framework and modify teaching methods based on performance data
- Produce original, challenging problem collections and modular instructional content that other educators can deploy at scale
- Provide standard homework assistance or grade-focused tutoring lacking defined, measurable results
- Conduct conventional classroom-style instruction limited to standard curriculum boundaries
- Offer unstructured problem sessions without strategy, feedback mechanisms, or competition pathways
- Rely on duplicated or insufficiently rigorous materials that fail to meet competitive mathematics standards
Key Responsibilities

- Comprehensive knowledge of math competition structures, content areas, and preparation methodology (e.g., AMC, AIME, Olympiads)
- Effective virtual instruction skills and capability to maintain student engagement through video platforms
- Availability for 5–10 hours per week
- Dependable internet connection and professional-quality video equipment
- Current, ongoing participation as a competitor, coach, or creator of competition-oriented content
- Background developing reusable instructional libraries, problem collections, or curricula for use by other instructors
