Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

South College on ground/online seeks candidates for an adjunct Microbiology faculty member. Successful candidates will have a terminal degree in Microbiology, and preference will be given to candidates who have successfully taught Microbiology in the online format. The position is online remote and will report directly to the Operations Manager of Faculty Affairs.

Specific courses are Microbiology lecture and Lab:

Microbiology introduces the student to microorganisms with particular emphasis on their role in health, wellness, and disease. Economic, social, and cultural issues related to utilization, control, and research of the monera, protista, fungi, bacteria, and viruses are also considered.

Education

A minimum of an acceptable doctoral or master’s degree in the discipline, and satisfactory completion of 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline.

Experience

• Excellence in postsecondary teaching preferred.
