WHO WE ARE

Eldea Tutors provides affordable, high-quality academic support for students and families through a consistent, student-friendly tutoring experience. We partner with schools and districts to serve students through structured “pods” and scalable learning sessions. Our goal is to make academic help accessible, reduce stress around schoolwork, and help students build confidence—by combining strong instruction, clear communication with families, and a tutoring environment where students feel comfortable showing up as they are.

We’re building a reliable team of tutors who care about students, communicate well, and show up consistently.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

You’ll support students through two core formats—drop-in tutoring pods and weekly SI sessions.

  • Support students who drop in throughout your shift with homework help, assignment support, and concept review.
  • Quickly identify where a student is stuck and guide them step-by-step (without doing the work for them).
  • Support multiple students in a shift while keeping a calm, organized, welcoming environment.

2. Lead a weekly SI session (educational streaming)

  • Lead a 60-minute weekly SI session aligned to district material.
  • Teach in a fun, accessible way—focusing on tips, tricks, and strategies that helped you succeed in the class.
  • Prepare a simple outline/plan to keep sessions structured and consistently valuable.

3. Follow program operations and reporting

  • Report to your Tutor Manager and follow instructions, workflows, and program expectations.
  • Proactively check and respond to emails and communications using Google Workspace.
  • Document key notes as required (student needs, recurring issues, session takeaways, progress signals).

4. Build strong relationships with students and parents

  • Create a comfortable, fun, and safe learning environment where students feel supported.
  • Communicate professionally and respectfully with families when needed (as guided by your manager).
  • Show up with compassion and consistency—students should feel encouraged, not judged.

5. Support incentives and celebrations

  • Coordinate with managers to develop student incentives and trackers.
  • Support celebrations, awards, and recognition moments to keep students motivated and engaged.

6. Maintain professionalism

  • Ensure punctuality, preparedness, and a respectful on-camera presence (when required).
  • Protect student privacy and follow Eldea policies and expectations.
  • Represent Eldea with professionalism in all communication and tutoring sessions.

Additional responsibilities (as applicable)

  • Attend occasional trainings, check-ins, or team meetings.
  • Share feedback on what’s working (and what needs improvement) to help strengthen the program.
  • Support end-of-semester wrap‑ups: reflections, reporting, and feedback collection.
HOW WE MEASURE SUCCESS
  • Punctuality and reliability
  • Student/Parent feedback
  • Communication skill (clarity, responsiveness, professionalism)
  • Student growth and improvement
  • Availability and flexibility within assigned semester schedule
  • Self‑awareness (takes feedback, reflects, improves)
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of a B in the subject(s) you intend to tutor
  • 1–2 years of tutoring experience
  • Experience with Google Workspace
  • Access to reliable internet and a working personal computer
