Job Summary:The University of Wisconsin-Madison Libraries is seeking an Instruction & Outreach Coordinator for the Undergraduate Library Services unit based in College Library.
Reporting to the Director of Undergraduate Library Services, the Instruction & Outreach Coordinator connects campus-wide teaching and learning initiatives with the instructional and outreach programs offered by the Undergraduate Library Services unit. Core responsibilities include developing and delivering course-integrated instruction; leading classroom sessions and workshops; and coordinating tours, orientations, and other events that promote the Libraries’ services and resources.
The UW–Madison Libraries lead in curating, preserving, and sharing knowledge through environments that inspire engagement, discovery, and learning. The Libraries deliver exemplary information services to advance the mission and strategic priorities of one of the nation’s leading research universities.
The successful candidate will perform a variety of duties, including, but not limited to:
Collaborates with Teaching and Learning Programs and other stakeholders to set short- and long-term goals for undergraduate student information literacy programs.
Develops outreach programs to promote and educate the campus community about library resources and services.
Administers daily operations for instruction and outreach within Undergraduate Library Services, including scheduling library staff to lead classes, workshops, and events.
Works with Information School instruction field project courses, providing guidance and mentorship of practicum students who assist with classes in Undergraduate Library Services.
Provides research assistance as an expert subject generalist and promotes information literacy for student academic success, with expertise in undergraduate research topics and resources.
Contributes to campus and library committees and activities devoted to teaching and learning, and participates in local, regional and national professional development opportunities focused on information literacy and outreach.
This position is eligible for partial remote work. A remote work agreement may allow for a maximum of 40% remote per week.
This position is full-time, 100%.

Designs, develops, delivers, and assesses instruction in a variety of formats to faculty, staff, students, and other patrons (10%)
Serves on committees to advance librarianship at the campus, local, and/or state and national levels (10%)

Compensation:Starting salary will be based on experience and qualifications. Well-qualified applicants can anticipate earning between $62,00- $78,000, with final salary based on experience and qualifications.
