Career Success Coach – STEM Careers, Career Communities
Location: Boston, MA, United States
Position Type: Full‑Time / Regular
Salary Range: $62,600.00 – $81,200.00
Campus: Charles River Campus – Professional
The Career Success Coach will lead one of the Center for Career Development (CCD) industry‑focused Career Communities, coaching and advising students on their career development, enhancing engagement within the designated Career Community, and developing and implementing tailored workshops, resources, programs, and events. The Coach will work cross‑functionally with CCD teams to build relationships with faculty, campus partners, professional associations, employers and stakeholders.
The role includes industry‑specific knowledge development, information sharing, engagement strategies, marketing, communication and assessment and outcome data collection.
- Coach and advise students on career development.
- Enhance engagement within the designated Career Community.
- Develop and implement tailored workshops, resources, programs and events.
- Build relationships with faculty, campus partners, professional associations, employers and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with CCD teams for engagement strategies, marketing, communication and assessment.
- Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, social work or a similar field (Master’s preferred).
- Approximately 3‑5 years of experience in career services, student affairs, education administration or a related field.
- Experience advising and coaching students, providing feedback, guidance and connections to campus resources.
- Experience designing and delivering educational programs and workshops.
- Experience managing projects, fostering teamwork and organizing events and programs.
- Demonstrated cultural competency and commitment to inclusion, equity and engagement of all students.
- Highly collaborative with the ability to conduct outreach and develop relationships with diverse constituents.
- Exceptional communication, listening and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collect, analyze and report client and program data to inform decision making.
- Ability and eagerness to learn and utilize computer applications, systems, AI and social media.
- Demonstrated experience or interest in the industry aligned with the designated Career Community.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
- Hybrid position, eligible for two remote work days per week.
