Special Education Teacher, Middle School
This position seeks an experienced Special Education Teacher to support middle and high school students within a K-12 educational setting. This contract role involves onsite teaching responsibilities at a school located in Derry, NH, dedicated to providing quality education to students requiring special education services. The assignment duration aligns with the current school year calendar.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver specially designed instruction tailored to students individual needs in middle and high school classrooms.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional methods as needed to promote academic achievement.
- Maintain a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student engagement and growth.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives focused on student success.
- Active New Hampshire Special Education teaching license is required; candidates must provide a copy of their license and endorsements with the application.
- Experience working with K-12 students in special education, preferably within middle and high school settings.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, instructional strategies, and behavior management techniques.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
