THK Enabling Skills for Life Programme (ESLP) is designed to empower adults with disabilities by equipping them with life and vocational skills, thereby enhancing their functional outcomes and overall quality of life, through a blend of Centre based and home-based programmes, training and interventions. The Master Trainer will provide mentorship, expert training and guidance to the team of workshop instructors in the ESLP.

The Master Trainer will develop and write comprehensive curricula for the different training tracks offered in the ESLP, including baking, food and beverage, housekeeping and urban farming. The Master Trainer will also develop training materials to support the development of life skills for trainees.

Job Description

Training Role:

  • Conduct training to trainers to equip them with the appropriate Adult Learning principles
  • Develop and write comprehensive curricula for the various training tracks in alignment with the Enabling Skills and Competencies Framework
  • Develop the training materials to develop the functioning levels of trainees in the areas of Activities of Daily Living, Home Living Skills, Community Living and Mobility Skills, Social and Recreational Skills, and Work Readiness Skills
  • Mentor and provide expertise training to the team of trainers to ensure that they are able to carry out the curricula
  • Engage in continuous assessment and review of the training needs of the trainees

Process and Resources Aspects:

  • Ensure that SOPs and training materials are kept updated
  • Attend staff meetings and training as required
  • Provide training progress reports to management

Qualifications

  • Minimum Degree or Post Graduate Qualifications in a relevant course (such as Occupational Therapy, Special Needs Education or a social service related course) from an established institution
  • Minimum 5 years experience in training in one of the ESLP training tracks
  • Experience in developing training materials and curriculum planning
  • Preferably possess ACLP or ACTA certification
