Our Safe Space is a 100% volunteer‑run 501(c)(3) nonprofit creating welcoming, judgment‑free spaces for growth, creativity, and connection. Through free workshops and groups, we empower individuals — especially women and LGBTQ+ members — to thrive personally and socially.
We’re ready to launch a new book club focused on practical personal growth — and we’re looking for the right facilitator to bring it to life.
About The Book ClubThis group will focus on thoughtful, discussion‑based personal growth titles such as
- Atomic Habits
- The Four Agreements
- Let Them
- Other books centered on resilience, habits, mindset, confidence, and transformation
- Help select meaningful titles
- Lead engaging monthly discussions (via Zoom or in person in Tucson)
- Create a welcoming and inclusive environment
- Encourage reflection, conversation, and practical takeaways
Meetings would likely be monthly, though frequency is flexible if the facilitator prefers more often.
Who We’re Looking ForWe are especially interested in experienced facilitators who enjoy leading reflective, discussion‑based groups. This role may be a great fit for
- Librarians or former librarians
- Current or retired teachers
- Adult educators
- Life coaches or workshop facilitators
- Therapists or group leaders
- Experienced book club hosts
- Retired professionals who enjoy guiding meaningful conversation
You do not need to create marketing materials or manage logistics — our team supports promotion and registration. Your role is to lead and hold the space.
Time Commitment- 1–2 hours per month for meetings
- 1–2 hours of preparation per session
Flexible schedule. Fully remote option available.
Why This MattersBook clubs often become some of the most meaningful spaces in our community. They foster connection, insight, and growth — one conversation at a time.
If you’ve ever finished a powerful book and wished you had others to explore it with — this may be your opportunity.
