Integra Education is seeking a dynamic and qualified Functional Skills English Teacher to deliver high-quality, 1:1 or small-group tuition online.

Functional Skills is more than just a qualification; it is a gateway to employment and further education for many learners. We need an educator who can strip away the jargon and help students master the essential reading, writing, and speaking skills required for the modern world.

The Role

• Remote Delivery:
  Conduct engaging, interactive online sessions using industry-standard platforms.
• Exam Preparation:
  Guide learners through Level 2 Functional Skills criteria, focusing on practical application and exam technique.
• Bespoke Learning:
  Create tailored lesson plans that address specific gaps in knowledge, from spelling and grammar to persuasive writing.
• Track Progress:
  Provide constructive feedback and monitor student development to ensure they are "exam-ready."

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS is highly preferred.
• Subject Specialist:
  Proven experience specifically within the Functional Skills English framework (Level
  2).
• Tech-Savvy:
  Comfortable navigating online classrooms, digital whiteboards, and remote learning tools.
• Adaptable Approach:
  Ability to re-engage adult learners or young people who may have had a negative experience with traditional English education.
• Safeguarding: A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (or a willingness to obtain one).
