Residency Requirements: Must reside in Michigan.
The Student Support Advisor/Paraprofessional is responsible for increasing student and Learning Coach engagement within the school to drive improved academic growth. The role is committed to providing consistent support throughout the student experience.
This position offers a pay rate of $18.00/hr plus the eligibility of a performance bonus.

- Oversee a caseload of students assigned by the school to increase engagement (e.g., monitoring student login, class attendance) through intervention (e.g., Learning Coach training, catch up sessions, time management).
- Provide consistent proactive support to students using data resources.
- Provide support to students and Learning Coaches through the Onboarding (Strong Start) experience.
- Serve as primary point of contact between students and Learning Coaches and teachers and/or school administration.
- Pursue and apply continuous education and training to increase efficacy with the dynamic needs of their students and Learning Coaches.
Required Qualifications
- Two (2) years of college
- Two (2) years of experience in education
- Equivalent combination of education and related experience
- Ability to pass required background check.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Organizational skills, multi-tasking abilities.
- Adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced work environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint);
Web proficiency. - Familiarity with the online learning experience.
- An ability to learn new technology tools quickly (e.g., database and web-based tools).
- Ability to travel 25% of the time.
- Four (4) years of college education.
- Experience working with the proposed age group.
- Experience supporting adults and children in learning and the use of technology.
- Paraprofessional experience is preferred.
Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.
