Part‑Time Variable/Hourly

This is a remote position with expectations of on‑site partnership. Due to the location of client sites and travel requirements, this role is open to candidates who reside in the Tri‑State area (New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut) with a preference to New York City.

This position requires weekly travel to partner school sites, typically up to four days per week. While we strive to assign consultants to clients within the same region of the country, we cannot guarantee that travel will be limited to the Tri‑State area. Consultants should expect that client sites may require out‑of‑state or overnight travel. Please plan to spend up to 7‑8 hours per day onsite at assigned schools.

At School Solutions, a division of K12 Coalition, Educational Consultants play a critical role in directly supporting partner schools across the country to achieve world‑class instruction through effective professional development and instructional coaching. We are seeking multiple Educational Consultants with math expertise (secondary math preferred) and multiple Educational Consultants with English Language Arts instruction to support schools in delivering high‑impact coaching and instructional support.

The ideal candidate has led teams to achieve strong academic outcomes in diverse educational settings, and brings a passion for coaching and developing educators. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our mission of closing opportunity gaps and ensuring excellent, equitable instruction.

• Strategically set the vision for high‑impact instruction and implementation of math curriculum, and instructional models in a set of school or network/district partnerships to ensure strong and equitable outcomes for all students
• Design and develop instructional materials and resources tailored to each partner’s specific needs and strategy — this includes adapting existing School Solutions materials and creating new content when needed
• Ensure that high‑quality, impactful instructional management plans, professional development, and coaching services are provided to teachers, instructional coaches, building leaders, and system leaders
• Engage in collaborative team structures to ensure alignment between School Solutions team members and to continuously improve School Solutions’ instructional tools

• Coach and support teachers in implementing research‑based math interventions, ELA interventions and HQIM
• Deliver model math lessons and classroom demonstrations to support teacher development and highlight instructional best practices
