As an Instructional Designer, you will create engaging and impactful learning experiences across multiple industry domains, including Maritime, Oil & Gas, and Wind Energy. You will collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to identify learning needs and translate them into well-structured instructional materials. The role involves designing eLearning courses, blended learning programs, assessments, and interactive scenarios while ensuring alignment with adult learning principles.
You will review, test, and refine content for accuracy, usability, and engagement, supporting a high-quality learning environment. Operating in a flexible, remote setting, you will leverage modern authoring tools and learning management systems to deliver scalable solutions. This position provides the opportunity to shape learning experiences that enhance operational performance and safety across complex industrial contexts.
Accountabilities
Collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders to identify learning needs and objectives.
Analyze content and create design documents, including storyboards, cross-reference tables, and specifications.
Design and develop instructional materials such as eLearning courses, blended programs, assessments, and case studies.
Apply instructional design principles and adult learning theories to maximize learner engagement and retention.
Utilize authoring tools and LMS platforms to create, deliver, and maintain digital learning content.
Review and test instructional materials for clarity, accuracy, consistency, and functionality.
Gather feedback and implement revisions to continuously improve learning solutions.
Support project teams in meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, English Literature, Communication, or related field;
Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience in instructional design and e-learning development.
Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate) and multimedia software.
Strong understanding of instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and learning technologies.
Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and SCORM/AICC standards.
Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability.
Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams and with stakeholders.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements for instructional quality assurance.
