The Ohio Pork Council is seeking a driven and credible Producer Education Manager to lead statewide pork producer education and certification programs. This role is ideal for an agriculture professional with strong knowledge of pork production who is ready to lead impactful education initiatives and strengthen Ohio’s pork industry.
This position oversees PQA Plus (Pork Quality Assurance Plus) and TQA (Transport Quality Assurance) programs, develops curriculum, supports youth leadership programming, and leads educational efforts at industry events. This position is based in New Albany, Ohio and includes a mix of in-office and remote work.

Key Responsibilities Producer Education & Certification- Lead all statewide producer education initiatives
- Oversee PQA Plus and TQA trainer recruitment, coordination, compliance, and reporting
- Develop and deliver curriculum aligned with national pork industry standards
- Conduct in-person and virtual trainings
- Develop programming for FFA, 4-H, and collegiate agriculture organizations
- Support leadership development within Ohio’s pork industry
- Lead educational components of Ohio Pork Council events
- Coordinate speakers, certification sessions, and training logistics
- Work collaboratively with the OPC team to execute programming
- Contribute wherever needed at association events to ensure success
- Supervise Pig Care Interns during the Ohio State Fair
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and training
- Ensure high standards of animal care and professionalism
- Bachelor’s degree required (Agricultural Education, Animal Science, or closely related agricultural field preferred)
- 1–2 years of relevant experience required (internships included)
- Preference given to candidates with 3–5+ years of experience
- Strong agriculture background required with knowledge of pork production
- Swine industry experience strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to travel throughout Ohio and work evenings/weekends
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
This position reports directly to the Executive Vice President and works closely with the full Ohio Pork Council team to advance education and industry engagement initiatives.
