Description

The Faculty Advisor for Sciences is a key member of the Faculty Advisory Team within the Pearson North America Higher Education Customer Success Organization. They strategically identify and partner with course-level administrators, acting as a pedagogical and subject‑matter expert on aligning Pearson digital products with instructors’ learning objectives and student outcomes. The role requires expertise in teaching Physics at the college or university level.

The Faculty Advisor has expert‑level knowledge of Pearson digital implementation models related to their field and applies those skills across Sciences disciplines. They investigate and respond to questions with tailored solutions, develop milestone tracking, and use rubrics and reporting templates to facilitate internal and external discussions. The Advisor collaborates with cross‑functional teams to provide insights from an instructor perspective.

Key responsibilities include equipping faculty at pre‑identified accounts with skills and information to maximize Pearson digital products each term, facilitating face‑to‑face and virtual trainings or workshops, and creating implementation‑specific tutorials or videos.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with course-level administrators to advise on the integration of Pearson digital products supporting teaching and learning goals.
  • Consult on digital assessment, grading, and reporting strategies and best practices for Mastering courseware.
  • Consult with customers on modifying or creating content.
  • Create department‑specific training resources such as videos, guides, and live or recorded webinars as needed.
  • Collaborate with Product teams to advise on development of new platforms, tools, and features.
  • Partner with Sales in campaigns, calls, meetings, demonstrations, and other sales enablement initiatives.
  • Use success metrics and reporting structures to provide written documentation to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Travel for face‑to‑face training, implementation workshops, conferences, and internal meetings.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Physics (required).
  • At least 5 years of teaching experience at the collegiate level (required).
  • Power‑user experience with Pearson Mastering (preferred).
  • Experience across multiple Sciences fields; additional experience with Engineering, Geosciences, or Biology is a plus.
  • Online teaching experience (preferred).
  • LMS experience (preferred).
  • Experience with Copilot and other Generative AI tools (plus).
  • Ability to engage with international customers across time zones (plus).
  • Experience presenting at conferences, department meetings, and events.
  • College teaching award(s) (high achievement).
