- Rate: USD 49-100/hour
- Location: Remote – candidates based in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Europe, Singapore, Dubai, or Australia who are legally able to work as independent contractors in their jurisdiction.
We are seeking experienced Postsecondary Sociology Teachers to contribute their subject matter expertise to AI training initiatives. In this remote contract role, you will apply your academic knowledge and teaching experience to help train advanced AI systems in generating, analyzing, and evaluating high-quality sociological content.
This opportunity allows you to combine your passion for sociology, research, and education with cutting-edge AI development in a flexible, remote setting.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and structure undergraduate and graduate-level sociology content to support AI training objectives.
- Evaluate and assess AI-generated essays, assignments, and exam responses for sociological rigor and conceptual accuracy.
- Create lectures, modules, and case studies across core areas such as race and ethnicity, social theory, research methods, stratification, institutions, and workplace dynamics.
- Design examinations, rubrics, and assessment frameworks to strengthen AI evaluation capabilities.
- Review and refine AI outputs to ensure alignment with academic standards and disciplinary best practices.
- Contribute to the development of syllabi, assignments, discussion prompts, and instructional materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve AI understanding of sociological analysis, methodology, and theory.
Skills and Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD preferred) in Sociology or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience teaching sociology at the postsecondary level.
- Strong background in sociological research methods (qualitative and/or quantitative).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to design, evaluate, and grade academic coursework.
- Familiarity with virtual learning environments and digital course platforms.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
- Experience contributing to AI, machine learning, or educational technology initiatives.
- Background in interdisciplinary research involving sociology and technology or data science.
- Demonstrated success with innovative online or hybrid teaching methodologies.
- Fully remote contract role with flexible scheduling.
